Went to Santé tonight for a wine tasting. This is not the first time I have been to this great little bar, but have come to really enjoy it. The owners are fabulous, and very adept to reading the guest. If ever I show up solo, they always generate a conversation. If ever with a group of friends they know when to walk away. Also, the wine is a great bargain, very reasonable prices. If you go, try the Blue cheese and walnut dip; Super yummy!really enjoy Bethd127, Chowhound.com

I love Santé because it’s unpretentious and the staff is really able to open your
eyes to the various flavors of wine, without looking down their nose at you and expecting
you to 1) spit, 2) gargle, 3) waft the bouquet in your direction before sipping,
or 4) use ridiculous words. In fact, they’re great at translating an immature wine
vocabulary (like mine) and helping find just the right wine. They’ve even (with T’s
help) assisted me in developing my palette! And if you go, please don’t miss their
divine homemade dips and hand-
